The Briton House, formerly the Mont Soudan Apartment Hotel has an interesting history. It was originally built to serve a North Toronto need for an Apartment Hotel. In 1976 it was decided that a better use would be made of the property by providing prestigious living for those contemplating retirement.

It was immediately successful as people could retire, retain their independence and dignity, and at the same time have available to them various support services such as dining facilities, house-keeping and care.

Since then, The Briton House has developed a special expertise in caring for those who no longer wish to assume the responsibilities of a home but who do not wish to be "institutionalized". We are most proud that a combination of professionalism and attentive personal care has built a reputation for The Briton House, which is unequalled.

At The Briton House your every need is given personal attention. Exercise classes, social hours, religious services plus any required personal care is part of the daily routine. A pleasant dining room where the service and food is presented in "hotel style", provide from a multiple choice menu, good nourishing meals as well as being a social centre.

As President, may I invite you to be our guest for a complimentary lunch and a tour conducted by Karen Lantela, our Family Consultant, trained to answer the many questions you may have about planning your retirement.
